Space News: Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin Sue Nasa. Bezos delays Moon Landing, and 1500 Subscribers!

Last week Jeff Bezos and Blue Origin sued Nasa over the Human Lander Lunar Contract. In a long saga of salty Bezos doing everything he can to delay our mission to the moon, he have finely succeeded. Blue Origin's federal suit accuses NASA of having been "unlawful and improper" in its evaluation of proposals concerning its human landing system program. Nasa has until October 12th to respond but one thing is for sure, the United States will NOT be going to the moon by 2024, and we have one man to blame, Jeff Bezos.

I don't know why everyone is so enamored of a sole source solution. Moon and Mars are big deals. We need sustained competition to bring about the best solutions. NASA should NOT rely solely on SpaceX for all missions. Big mistake. .

Like most people, I agree that Bezos' quest is utterly selfish and repugnant. For him, it's all about him and his massive ego. I suggest he takes a long relaxing and pampered vaction on his $500m ship - while Elon works late into the night, and sleeps in his factories.

New subscriber as well here! It's good to see some personal views thrown in with the facts. I honestly hope that, with Bezos going full-time for BO, we see some more progress coming in the coming year. I agree he is no Musk (in that he is a business man at heart and not an engineer) but it would be awesome to see New Glenn arise. If Rocket lab can achieve what they have done so far, with FAR LESS available funding than BO, I dont understand why there is such a lack in progress. There should be more focus on the "ferociter" than the "gradatim". Still, hope BO gets it done soon. We're waiting for Vulcan and New Glenn!

NASA had only one choice to make, either go with the company that has a proven track record an existing system that actually can achieve low earth orbit or go with the guy who has nothing more than a giant yoyo! One thing is certain when it comes to going to the Moon and Mars Ellon is the type to say "screw you guys. We'll go without you!"
