I am capable. But I don't mow my own lawn simply because I don't like lawn work. I would rather be doing other things. As for our bodies, we are made differently. Genetics plays a big part. What works for some, does not work for others. Its no one's business but yours. Keep on riding.

Hi Russ,
Being an older rider (76) and having 2 20” fat tire along with a 26” cruiser style bike, I can say the riders position is very important to me. Bending forward for a few hours can shorten your ride.
I do prefer getting the handle bars closer to me and allowing a full upright seating position.
I did upgrade to a better seat and a suspension seat post on my Heybike Cityrun, which cost around $1, 200.
It came with hydraulic brakes, no ghost pedaling gears, turn signals and much much more. I did contact the company with a problem and got faster great service from them.
I ride all 3, but the 26” is by far the most comfortable and as such has way more miles on it.
My personal best so far is 42.3 miles in a little more then 3 hours. I would not get that from me on my 20” bikes lol.
My wife used to say “Getting old ain’t for sissies “
I do agree that 20” bike can turn sharper, but think the 26” & taller bikes are more stable and safer at higher speeds. I am just over 20K miles combined for the 3 bikes I now have.
Great video, as always…

8-speed trigger shifter with a cassette that minimizes ghost pedaling ...I am constantly shifting gears so that is very important. Thumb throttle 27.5 x 2.25 tires Redshift suspension seat post giddy-up or Cloud 9 seat; very bright headlight; metal fenders; rear rack; hydraulic disc brakes; cruiser style handlebars;

Sounds like the Wired e-bikes out of Chicago meets most your requirements. I’m actually flying from Jacksonville, FL to Chicago on 11/17 to pickup 2 Wired Cruisers and renting a mini van to drive them back home. UPS has distorted too many e-bikes especially a 1200 mile trip from Chicago to Jax…
- under $2500
- far more than 85nm of power, actually 128nm
- Wired Cruiser offers a step through (bikes I bought)
- 60v system rather than a 48v or 52v
- 20amh battery
- 26”x4” tires
- slightly over 70lbs
- long rear rack and optional front basket
- 56t front chain ring to avoid ghost pedaling
- bright headlight
- pedal assist power levels can be modified in menu
- Tektro hydro brakes
- 5 color options, however battery is black
- misses are - metal fenders, need to buy a new seat and suspension post.

Hi Russ, I do not hear the leaf blower. Boy do we have a lot of leaves in our yard. Hubby blows the leaves, I mow and trim the yard. Not real well, but I do it. Our yard is wild and woolly. We live in the county. Hey, what you do for your own yard is your business. Shame on folks for giving you a hard time. I might add, I am not fond of doing our yard. I am about ready to hire it out if we can find someone good.

I understand the alageys part because my wife can't be out side much. I can't do push mower so I use riding mower. My yard is to big.

Inside today too, we got 9 inches in Franklin county Kansas. No drought any more. But now cold.
I love how your designing your bike, add turn signals.
Ignore the idiots, someday they will be there too, and wondering how we did it.

I hear ya Russ, my ankle has had two surgeries, that was why I joined your channel way back when, I can't run any marathons or cut a big lawn but I can sure ride my ebike, you were a great inspiration to me getting an ebike, I was lucky to get it right the first time for me, I'm very happy, I'm 6'1" 220 lbs and opted for a 26 x 4 fat tire step over with a torque sensor, Techtro hydrolic disc brakes are essential and although my seat is comfy I just ordered a Suntour suspension seat post. I totally agree with you on basically everything.

Good Morning Russ. I think because you started riding you e-bike after your knee surgery, you're giving you other knee exercise and I think you are doing it well by e-bike riding. Shame on people for shaming others. My e-bike is the best for me, it was $2, 295 CAD ($1, 660 US), I wouldn't change anything on my e-bike, just maybe a cruise control would have been nice. I picked up my new red full face helmet yesterday and what a difference, I was able to ride in really cold temps and not feel cold at all, I really like it and it looks kool too. I would like to change my pas percentage levels on my e-bike too.
Thank You for a Good Video. 😎

Yeah, now that sounds like a great bike 🚲! Meanwhile in Massachusetts it’s been in the 70s this week… crazy

Many people move to the Southwest. It would be a trifecta, less allergies, better for the joints and year-round bike riding in the foothills of Arizona.

I can relate, exactly same problems, wrecked knees and hips, arthritis, without ebikes I can't ride at all, they are a game changer for me and many others, also I haven't done my own yard work for at least 15 years even when I was able to I didn't, each to their own

Nice video Russ. The background bike ride scene was especially enjoyable. Don't recall seeing that one before. With regards to the 'ideal' ebike one of the 'desired' features was having the handlebar with a slight rearward bend. This makes for a more 'shoulder width' position compared to a FLAT handlebar that seem to be on most ebike because of ease of supply from the ebike manufacturer using the Mountain bike design flat handlebar. To that aspect I replaced the original pretty much flat 640mm handlebar on my Magicycle 52V Jaguarundi. I sourced an ergonomic 600mm handlebar with a 12 Degree back sweep but without any Rise. All the bike components went into position on the new handlebar with no issues. Although the stem is adjustable I keep it all the way down and with the new handlebar it is much easier to do U-turns compared to the OEM stock handlebar. As an added feature the ergonomic handlebar is alloy and feather light...much lighter than the standard handlebar. One item that I would consider having on the ideal ebike is a Suspension Seat Post. I actually purchased the SR Suntour sp12 when I bought the ebike. I know you have tried them on some of your ebikes. I also changed the rubber pedals for wider and flatter RockBros model as you have also suggested with the 'ideal' ebike ride. Otherwise agree with all the other desireables you have listed. Thanks. Ride-on Russ!

Good for you Russ, with your limited mobility, you're doing a great job by getting out there with your fleet of ebikes weather permitting, staying active and producing quality videos. We commend you for what you do👍I think the Magicycle Deer comes closest to your ideal ebike. I agree, if ebike companies could produce a better integration of multiple batteries on the rear rack and front baskets, bigger and brighter headlights with flashing option, bigger chainrings and 11/28 flywheels to eliminate ghost peddling, mag wheels, and a color display that everyone can see. These improvements will get here soon👍Looking forward to what's in store into the future.

Loving the bike description. Everything I'd be looking for in my next full throttle Class 3 (but with a foldable frame and 20 inch wheels since I'm a bit on the short side at 5-5 1/2). If the circumstances are right, then I would consider 26 inch wheels and a step-thru.

I am right there with you Russ.
I blew out my right knee two years ago at work. I blew out my left at home a few months ago. Now I have to do things smarter. I use the riding mower and my teens do the string trimming and leaf blowing. I have a small tractor and implements rather than helping do garden things with push behind equipment. My analog bikes are now ebikes. I have canes in every car in the event I have a flare up. I forgo being a counselor at summer camp as I can't risk injury in a very atheletic setting with youth decades younger than me. It is a life altering injury that affects every aspect of life.

I’m on the fence about the Candice sensor, they’re not all created the same some of better than others. Some are all or nothing, I want to have some input and I want the motor not to stop at a preset speed in different PAS settings, it should give you a percentage of power like a torque sensor.

You know you've made it on the internet when the uninvited negative comments arrive!!
I don't know why people become so abrasive. They must be lonely miserable people. 🤷‍♀️
As for 🚲, yes for a 24"!!
My 20" fat tire foldy does become unstable at times.
