How to never lose a race:
“Don’t race.”
But if you are going to race, make sure to Wobble Wobble the shift knob beforehand for +12hp

1. Know your car’s redline by sound 2. Know your shifter positions so you don’t miss gears and use specific hand techniques (open palm, side of shifter, etc...) to get in gear quicker and be sure when you start a race your in the proper rpm range/gear for your car so you take off like a bullet

Step 1: Get in Car
Step 2: Figger it oot
Step 3: I'd suggest you let that Marinate

I cut my muffler off so I can rev match without a tac, previous owner put the wrong cluster in. I don't know what rpm to be in but I know what sound to be in. My motto is... if I can hear the radio I'm getting good mileage.

I agree with what you are saying, very good information. I drove a manual for a living, 10 hours a day, for 25 years. To feel the shift, I learned to just use my fingertips to shift and could go through the gears as smooth as any automatic. It takes time and practice. Great video!!

I tried to follow that advice "lightning fast, in and out", and my girlfriend left me...

living in Europe, i do this since i got my license, my test drive was in a manual, its really weird to think that there are people who drive a car but never touched a manual

“Other people would make a really long video for no reason”
This is 9 minutes of how you should just pull on the stick shift slightly before you shift

So basically what I got from this is know you’re car’s sound and feel. Also control the left foot.
Honestly makes a lot of sense and it’s the little things like hitting neutral as your clutch is going down, hitting the gear when your foot is one the floor and releasing that clutch fast and back on the gas.
Thanks for the video bro you made this simplistic than every other one I’ve watched. Stay safe out there and save the manuals 🤘🏼

2 weeks ago I would stall 1/3 times, haven’t stalled in a min. Watching videos helped a lot

To never lose a race one would need to begin with not a BRZ lolz.

Invaluable info. I was tentatively throwing in the odd rev match and while I'm getting better at it in going to forget rev matching and spend some time learning your quick shifting on slow traffic days driving home from work, once I'm shifting very snappy with confidence then go back to heel and toe

This is something I have been working on religiously in my car the last few months and honestly it is so much fun to row at similar speeds to my friends cars that are automatics, all about confidence. Just be safe about it and treat your gears with respect.

"Hey Robbie, can you do a video on how to shift your trans so hard that you blow it up and decide to do a full AWD swap out of an STI, with a map DCCD controller and everything? Thanks man" (:
