Funniest moment of the whole weekend was in Ted Slotover's post race interview with Valteri Bottas who was wearing a t-shirt for a charity he is involved in. When Ted asked him what the charity for, he replied totally deadpan, "It's for people who have recently become unemployed". The comment went right over Ted's head!

From what I’ve seen, Carlos was told not to “pressure” Charles, whereas Charles was told that Carlos wouldn’t pass him. Carlos passed him, but he did it cleanly and never really did “pressure” Charles off his line, so it seemed fair game to me.

For all those wondering why Carlos wasn't pinged for crossing the white line on pit entry:
The crossing pit-entry line is only punishable when crossing it and then entering the pits. Otherwise it does not matter, like Turn 9 in Austria, where the racing line crosses the pit-entry line.
So the crossing of the pit-entry or exit line is only problematic when entering/exiting the pits otherwise they are treated as if they are not there at all.

A race and a review all before 11pm? Australians are loving night races

Listen to Carlo's radio he wasn't actually told to not take over Charles. He was told to "not put pressure" on Charles.

Sainz got screwed a bit by the team too, first when they didn't respond to his pleas for a pitstop, then they ask him to switch with Charles, with Hamilton almost glued to Charles' gearbox, and then they had the Box call that they canceled just when Carlos was slowing down before pitlane entry.

Watching Carlos' onboard, they told him "don't put pressure on Charles" AFTER he had already a passed Charles. So it was really just a miscommunication between Charles' and Carlos' engineers.

Alain Prost once said- "Win the race at the slowest pace possible." That was, i think, what George was doing. He was 11 seconds down the road so he just started cruising around. Once Lewis got within 5 seconds, George turned on the jets a little and rocketed away again. He was in total control from lights to flag

I understand Charles frustration but I absolutely understand Carlos.
Charles had a great start, Carlos overtook him fare and square. Then asked Ferrari to box him multiple laps, obeyed when asked to swap positions and then ruined his race by calling him in and then not. (losing time) Then is asked again to just let Charles stay infront and not fight. (Ferrari didnt listen to him, he doesnt listen to them) At this point he is racing for himself cuz Ferrari kinda just screwed both of them. In the end Carlos should be P3, cuz I do think he had the better race. (Charles also still had a good race)

EDIT!!: Carlos was only told to not put Charles under pressure, he did infact follow orders and breezed past

Put Zhou in Red Bull and make every track 10°c and we'll witness greatness

kinda unfair that yuki was made to be a comparison for the other driver's performance to decide whether or not they deserve the redbull seat, but when yuki outperforms all of them they won't promote him either

Why would Carlos listen to the team after they spent 5 laps ignoring his pleas for new tyres, being forced to swap position then being called to box on the same lap. Ridiculous from the Ferrari pit wall i thought we were past this

Brazil 2024 will always be the day that Max Verstappen entered the Valhalla Heights of Senna, Prost, Schumacher and Hamilton. Max simply refused to give in or give up. His effort has been impressive all year. Coupled with a great team effort, those drives earned Max his championship. Job Well Done, Max.

Incredible race from Lewis and George. Lewis had a brilliant recovery drive. And George managing it brilliantly. No need to keep such a huge lead if it’d destroy the tyres faster. He showed at the end he was managing his tyres and could’ve gone faster.

So well managed by both of them.

I know Charles was just venting, but what nice or respectful thing has he done for Carlos on track? It's easy to be "respectful" when all team orders are in your favor

Ngl, I didn't think Carlos was wrong for how he drove. Idky Ferrari was telling him to stay behind when Carlos was literally faster and to compromise his own race. Love Carlito

2 things

1. Insane that Ferrari didn’t listen to Carlos about pitting

2. The white line is only ON ENTRY. I do not believe there is a rule for using the pit entry if you continue on your way. The white line is crossed CONSTANTLY in Austria for example. Obviously exiting the pits you can’t cross.

Ferrari's pit wall was 100% the problem, not Carlos, and definitely not Charles. Ferrari tried to bottle EVERY SINGLE FIGHT from the pit wall. The pit fiasco gifted Hamilton both passes, and set Carlos and Charles up for a needless fight. Carlos was told "not to pressure", told Charles that he wasn't going to pass; Charles left a door open and Carlos took it because they were given different messages. Every single driver would have done the same, especially with only 2 more races at the team and after losing a place due to the team's incompetence. When fighting Max, Carlos passed, then was told to not push his tires...which gave Max DRS to defend against Charles. It looks like a dick move for a second time around...except it was the pit wall that told him to do it. (Also, let's not forget that Charles got ahead on Lap1 largely because Sainz didn't fight both Gasly and Charles. A rather un-teammate like move that I would expect of every single pairing)
It was a simple race for Ferrari; they had good starting positions, even better lap1, and clearly the second best car. Sure, it was a surprise 2-stopper. But holy hell Ferrari needs to get their act together. They cannot be making these comedy of strategy errors if they plan on winning the WDC and WCC.

You guys should have discussed about how Ferrari ruined the strategy in general. Ruined sainz pitstop by calling and then telling no. He was begging on radio to box 5 laps prior as Charles was behind holding ham. They told him to swap and box but apparently they werent ready?
