Musk has permanently damaged his own personal reputation and that of Tesla's.Tesla will undergo this period of the current boycott and survive as a major producer of electric cars but it will never occupy the supreme position it once held except in its home market.He will eventually move on from Doge and I believe concentrate his time away from politics on his other companies other than Tesla. This Tesla boycott is being felt mainly outside of the US and it is going to result in a huge boost in the sales of its competitors.

What we DO KNOW FOR SURE is that Tesla signalled that there would be an approx 100k loss if production in Q1 due retooling the Model Y priduction lines. So why are you surprised that production was infact short by about 100k. Almost exactly as predicted. It is often the case that thd simplest answer is the truth.

I don't think Trumps comments about Elon leaving (which it seems the white house seems to be now denying) will make much difference (for a while at least). Although I think a dust up between Elon and Musk at some point is still a high possibility - surprised it has already happened TBH.
Full disclosure, while I like my 2022 Tesla, I'm no longer a fan of Elon (not so much due to Doge but the use of large amounts of money to influence elections, especially one in a foreign country, just seems blatantly wrong to me, no matter if you sit politically to the left or right).
