It just goes to show you that there are different understandings of what "journalism" is. Some think it is to talk directly to people to get the details, and some think it is to opine about stuff and inflame conversations to influence the public in a certain direction. If any journalist thinks that Trump shouldn't be "platformed", he's the Republican candidate for President of the country! He's already on the literal platform. Ask him respectful but tough questions and let him add to the data points out there for the public. Plain and simple.
