Data studio is more collaborative, simple and save hours to create a dashboard or report that might take a while in Power BI. Not many people actually unleash the value from data studio as they might think its free so not worth it and the embedded culture of stick with Microsoft ecosystem ! But technically speaking you can do most of the things with Data studio that Power Bi can do in terms of dashboard and reporting although it might not have embedded ETL tool like power query. But the value of using it is higher as it takes less resources to create pretty much the same result at basic level comparing other platform.

I use Power BI, it is more feature-rich, and versatile when connecting different resources, BUT it is more difficult to create reports, and can bring lots of hours of frustrations :-)

Excelent explanations! And I have a question for you guys... I saw that I can, for exemple, on the Microsoft-Power-Automate, connec to an instagram account and receive a
flowchart of the customers-comments per day. Concerning to this, my doubt is already this: could I connect to more than one Instagram accounts, in order to bring this data from diferent customers profiles (or I just could be working whith my own company's datas?)? Thank you and sorry for my English (I'm brazillian).

Klipfolio is a great dashboard tool.... expensive though. power BI has a more varied range of connectors eg asana, xero that data studio doesn’t have automatically.

I spent a good part of last year learning Power BI to pull together 2 companies and ensure customer service levels, outstanding invoices etc where staying within parameters I had never worked with this type of visualisation software before so to me it was very powerful to be able to glance at problems and then go and fix them in the company.

I am now out of the company but doing alot of self development work in the lead up to planning my next big business. Having software background and being a business person I can honestly say I am pretty anti microsoft. I find their thinking to be corporate decision making eg 'coz the boss said so' buying into product fields after the race has already well started, instead of innovative, logical and practical. For that reason most of my life where possible revolves around googles cloud model which i can pick up my phone, sit at a computer or be in a different country and everything is there and working.

I was supprised to not see an android app from google but something I can work around and I am very interested to get my head into Google Data Studio and see what differences I can achieve in my life with it.

Power bi is one of the worst pieces of software I have ever used, it only works well with azure, their gateways system is painfully awful
