The Path of the Gods, or Il Sentiero degli Dei, Italy is a hike along the Amalfi coastline. There are two trails for this hike: the High Path and the Low Path. The High Path is the more difficult higher altitude trail (hence the name!) with breathtaking views. The Low Path, which most people take, is a lower altitude hike with incredible views that's less difficult – but still challenging and at times shockingly high. This is the Low Path that a friend and myself took with a guide — which I highly recommend (see his links below). This was my first guided hike and I'm re-thinking future hikes to include guides. It gave me insight into the topography, mythology, trails, wildlife, culture, and areas that should be avoided that I wouldn't have gotten by doing it alone.
This was easily my favorite part of visiting Positano! I recommend this for people that are moderately fit and not too scared of heights.

What You Should Bring:
• Water and plenty of it
• Sneakers that have good grip
• Hat
