I needed to ship a car someone bought from me in tn to washington state. After getting some quotes I ended up buying a used truck and an enclosed trailer and took it myself and came out ahead.

I just moved my 2016 Chevrolet Camaro from Las Vegas, NV to Dallas, TX. It only took 3 days & no damage! Thanks for the video.

@carcoachreports Is Dynamic paying you? Is that why you recommend them? because there's several people on here that said Dynamic asked for a deposit which you say is a red flag and not to use a company that asks for a deposit. Please explain the contradiction. Thanks

I had a 2016 GT-350 transported from Southfield Michigan to my home in Kenmore, NY... The carrier tore up the the front valence and splitter... They had it replaced at $500... But they should have known that a pair of 2" by 12" by 10' boards placed in front of the front wheels of the car loading on and off the transport vehicle could have prevented the damage.

Never trust a company that tells you "No upfront costs" and then charges your credit card before the vehicle is picked up. Insist on them NOT getting your card information until the driver shows up with the transport. If more people did this, it would force these idiot "Brokers" to be more honest. AND, don't be fooled into thinking DYNAMIC is a Trucking (Carrier) company. They are a Broker just like all the rest. Broker are hard core sales people and will play lots of games to get you to select them as your choice. They low ball quotes, promise specific shipping times, and just about anything to get your business. They work by commission, so It's HARD-CORE SALES!!! You have to play hardball yourself with a broker. Their are 100's of them.

If you deal directly with a specific trucking company, (and you can do this, but it will typically cost you more $. Too much info on the reason to explain in this post), and you don't live in a major city, chances are you'll be waiting 2-4 weeks before your car can be picked up. And that's if they are planning to go through your area any time soon. Remember.... Unless you are a Dealer, or an Auction company that ships cars all the time, You may never use their services again, and thus, They are not that concerned about having to cancel your one-off shipment. This can happen and now you've waisted all that time wait for the pickup, only to be cancelled on right before it was supposed to happen. Brokers place your vehicle type, quoted price (minus their cut) and pickup/delivery point in a system for all the trucking companies to see. Whichever company's respond to except your vehicle will discuss with the broker dates for the pickup/delivery and price. Some may ask for more money (if the broker low balled the quote), and its why many times a call comes to you from the Broker with some lame excuse that the price is higher now. This happens all the time, especially if you have a tight schedule to meet and you can't be more flexible with your pickup and delivery dates. Tight schedules will affect the cost and limit the choices you have in carrier companies.

The best thing I could advise is to:
1. Never pay cash or give a credit card deposit until the car is actually picked up. DON'T DO IT!! If the Broker says he has to have your credit card information to start the process and promises NOT to charge your card until pickup. DON"T BELIEVE IT!!! Just say thank you very much, hangup and call a different broker. If you pay a deposit you are just paying the brokers commission/fee up front. I you do this you are taking a big chance! Like rolling dice that they will really work hard to get your car shipped. They already have your money! there's no real incentive to work hard. Get it?

2. Once you know the trucking company (carrier) that the broker assigned to move your vehicle, do your homework on how reputable the trucking company is. VET them fully checking their liability Insurance and certifications for yourself. Don't just rely on what the broker tells you over the phone. (BTW, you have the right to turn down a trucking company the broker finds and wait for a better one, but it may again cost you more.) Remember, the broker very likely low balled your quote to get your business, but that first $ number can and more than likely will change before your vehicle is actually shipped.
3. Be as flexible as possible with the pickup and delivery dates as possible. I recommend you give a 2 week window for the pickup date, and then you can expect several day's to up to 2 weeks for delivery after the pickup date for your vehicle to arrive at its destination. This will make it more likely for you to get a good carrier at a fair price. Trust me! The low ball numbers you may get from a broker You Get What You Pay For!

I'm looking to move a car from Illinois to Southern California and went to Dynamic link in the description and they too are asking for payment/deposit up front! Where can I get a shipper who doesn't charge until I get my car?

I thought I would make this easy by trying your Dynamic Auto Movers. I'm moving a car from Vancouver BC to VA. But they said because it's Canadian, I have to pay the whole thing up front. Now what?

So currently i'm looking at using Dynamic and they already charged my card(for the deposit) even though my pickup date is weeks away; but I've heard it's a red flag for auto transport companies to charge you a deposit fee before the car gets pickup. so I'm having second thoughts about it
