[Madison, Wisc...] Governor Scott Walker and DPI State Superintendent Tony Evers presented Wisconsin's ACT College and Career Readiness Awards on Monday. After the event, they each spoke about the UW System surplus and education funding in the state. Walker would like to use the additional money to increase funding to local school districts and provide greater tax relief. Evers expressed concerns with Walker's idea and said he would not want to take funds from "one part of public education and hand it off to another."

You can bet Evers definitely doesn't want to hand off any money, in the form of tax relief, to the people who actually earned it in the first place!
