People are acting like things were great before he came. He boarded a sinking ship

David Moyes, Ryan Giggs, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick, Ralph Rangnick and now Erk ten Haag, yet pundits still think the manager is the problem. The club is practically a player and manager graveyard!

Of course this gets recommended after the FA Cup final

the moment ten hag manage other team, they will start doing well, then people realise woah, what is the problem again?

Erik isn't bad 65+ injuries in a single season would affect ANY Club, to still be in the top 10 in the Premier league and to reach the FA Cup Final as well after all those injuries is nothing short of miraculous

People were calling Kieran Mckenna and Michael Carrick "amateurs" and said that they had a job only because they were "Ole's friends". Now Michael Carrick has transformed a struggling Middlebrough and Mckenna has earned back-to-back promotions with Ipswich.

Any new manager will also struggle. We need to give Ten Hag atleast one more season.

The squad has also been injured all the time this season, and we can discuss whether thats on him or the medical team. Also I think the whole club is rotten to the core, the great legacy of Woodward. I think it’s much larger than ten Hag. I have always supported him, and I still do. Its a process.

Who is here after he was confirmed he's staying?

This video changed my opinion about him, it’s really not easy to not have a single fit CB in the entire team !!!

I am an United fan and I don’t want him to get sacked. I’ve stuck by him the entire time and believe that if he gets the support he needs he can build a great team.

After all the stupid hate on him. He still won 2 trophy in his first 2 seasons

Every real man utd fan, know that this horrible season ain't Erick Ten Hag's fault, too many injuries, as well, as "stars" having horrible performance.

As a man utd fan when I see Gary Neville criticised Ten Hag's coaching style I literally can't stop laughing.

United players make individual mistakes, true, but individual mistakes are part of football and happen in the best teams & clubs. The problem at United is much deeper, United's problems reach far into structural areas inside the club, and into the coaching areas as well, besides the players. Ten Hag is proving he doesn't have a clue over& over again.

Even at Madrid, Zidane would push Casemiro up into #8 in the buildup and have Modric-Kroos take early responsibility. Casemiro would then slot deeper when the ball had progressed or when they were out of possession. Good profiling to mitigate weakness. How don’t United see it? The elite teams began figuring out that Casemiro was the press trigger. But Zidane adapted, he asked Toni Kroos to drop deeper to form a pivot to bypass the first press. This worked brilliantly, it allowed Marcelo and Carvajal more freedom to push higher. But United's coaching staff is useless and doesn't see it.

The same was true with Cristiano - Cristiano works the best with a second striker in a setup that United had, moving more like a free electron, yet they kept leaving him alone in the box area and just wanted him to be stale. Even Mourinho said that Ten Hag has no idea how to use Cristiano properly in the team, google it.

See? The problem is that Ten Hag and the current United coaching staff have no clue how to use the players they have. Bruno is another example - he has great stats, but stats are meaningless if the reality on the pitch is awful. Most of the United problems actually come from the midfield, as Bruno constantly leaves open spaces and misplace passes. He is not a defensive midfielder, he is an attacking midfielder and very bad at defensive work. United has too many attacking players or to describe it better: too many players in the midfield who only have their minds set on attacking instead of defending, which leads to awful open spaces for the opponents.

Ten Hag has been there for more than 2 years, and he is still unable to properly organize the team on the pitch and to implement any kind of coherent style. That's the fact. So I'm all for players taking responsibility for their mistakes, but the coach has to take responsibility too, and the truth is Ten Hag is way out of his depth!!

Its crazy how he was technically right, he beat liverpool 4-3, he beat manchester city in fa cup final, there js a lot of building that needs to be done, he should not be sacked, not yet, he needs 4-3 more seasons for manchester united to be great again

Meanwhile Klopp gets praise for just getting to cup finals in first few years and Arteta gets praise for doing much worse then ETH!! The only way media can get views is if it's about Manchester United

A coach decides how he wants to play and not the players 90% of the time. Changing philosophy for those guys ain't worth it

Won't matter which manager that comes in. The issues aren't on the manager, but it gets put on the manager to fix them, while trying to keep squads of players happy and have the pressure from those who really are responsible to bring results.

Manchester United is hands down, the hardest club to be a manager at. But hopefully with Ineos things will start to get better.
