FROZEN is Overrated. I first saw it when I was 7, and every other time I watched the film, I questioned, "This is really what all the hype was about?"

The Matrix sequels were good stories, including the new one. They were simply wrapped up in bad directing and needed someone else to go over the details of the script.

This is why the sequels still have a whole bunch of very memorable and exciting scenes, but are a complete mess when viewed as a whole.

The wachowskis needed a script writer and a director while they took rolls as producers and idea gals.

The missed opportunity of all four Matrix movies is palpable.

Even game of thrones used sex scenes for actual value. Humor, context, and even torture.

My two:
1) Michael Bay is the reason why the Transformers movies simultaneously are so awesome and suck. They definitely should have hired him to direct the action scenes, because those are freaking great, b literally everything else should have handled by a more serious director. I don’t know if he had anything to do with the screenplay, but yeah that should have all been scrapped as well.
2) Return of the Jedi is … well… not amazing. Don’t get me wrong, there are fantastic moments in it, but it’s not a solid narrative. The first act is the Jabba stuff which takes WAY too long to happen, the second act is a very weak hike through the Forrest, and then the final act is an action scene of such spectacle that everyone forgets the problems with the rest of the movie. And it hardly fits into the original trilogy. One of the great things about Empire is that it continued Hope’s story by expanding it’s setting and characters. What Jedi does is kind of try to go back to A New Hope’s …innocence? Is that the word? Original feeling? I don’t know. Vader is no where near as terrifying nor does he actually do anything. And the whole feel of the movie definitely panders to kids. A lot of OT fans (like super OT fans, not my beloved prequel generation) will say Jedi is their favorite is because it was the first one they saw in theaters… meaning they were relatively young and it pandered to them. I even feel the same way. I used to not like Empire as much as Jedi because of the Sarlacc and Endor and Teddy Bears and it’s less dark. I don’t know, it’s just.. not as good. Oh, and remember how we criticize seven for bringing back the Death Star? Well guess what, this movie was the first to do that. There’s more problems I have, but I don’t want to get into them

I liked SW:TLJ when it first came out, then started reading breakdowns on what was wrong with the narrative, and now dislike it intensely. I now wonder though how much of what my opinion really if it is my own understanding of what went wrong and what is just what I let myself be influenced by how persuasive the spin on the discussion and analysis by others is...

Meh, A Clockwork Orange, you're not missing much to be honest. I mean, it's alright, but you're still not missing much. Osmosis Jones was a cool movie. I'd defintitely watch it again 🤘

Unpopular film opinion: I like the first Edition of Justice League better than the Snyder Cut

The boy in the striped pajamas was told though the eyes of a child, but it was better as a book. It wasn't accurate at all, but if they based it in a fictional (and very inaccurate) it could be better. I liked the book, but it wasn't accurate enough to earn the fame it had. Perhaps if they were young adults it could be more plausible, but as a nazi history nerd it was kind of crappy on the accuracy side. Otherwise, the writing was good, i did enjoy the book
