Growing up in the Deep South, I can confirm this is a legitimate people skill.

I can tell this was the beginning. This part of the series has evolved quite a bit since.

Knew this one girl while working at a southern restaurant, super shy and quiet, barely talked when taking people's orders unless they had a thick southern accent. Then she would totally change her accent and they would start talking about anything under the sun, she would joke and laugh, it was like an alter ego when it came to southern people. It really is its own thing.

All I was waiting for was the “roll tide” after all this dialogue lol

Its so cool to see how these videos evolved over time. Like how the charecters eventually get names, Tim gets a Pam, Also how he yells for "Terry! Terry!!!" And ends with a Roll Tide!

When you're so engaged with the story you completely forget it's the same dude as all three people.

As funny as this is, that type of code switching is an elite skill. I'd go to this restaurant lol

As a Southerner I sometimes get miffed at impersonations of southerners.... but this is pretty spot on.

Little did we know this was going to be the start of an amazing series…🤣 “roll tide“ 🌊

This is so spot on it’s frightening. The piggly wiggly mention threw me back into my childhood

This is such a well-done skit. You can sense the fear of being seen as inferior and the defense of "its the king of beers". He really felt like Brad was looking down his nose at him. Very well done. And of course hilarious.

Learning how to talk to different people is a huge part of working in the service industry

This is funny and stereotypically true but the way they got along at the end was really heartwarming. This is just damn good service if you ask me. Manager coming up to banter with an unhappy customer in a language he can relate to to the point where he is happy again. In the end he didn't get bud, but he did get a buddy.

Terry's customer service skills are underrated

As someone who’s grown up in the Deep South, if I saw this play out in a restaurant I really don’t think I’d even notice

"I understand you want Bud?"
"Hell yeah!"
"We ain't got Bud"

I like how Tim has sobered up since his first appearance. Growth. :)

This is the best example of great customer service . Like honestly, truly hilarious how you can turn a bad interaction to a good one.

I love how they ramble over each other after they connect on a deeper level 😂
