In this video we rank the countries with the highest dept to GPD Ratio in the world.

In economics, the debt-to-GDP ratio is the ratio between a country's government debt (measured in units of currency) and its gross domestic product (GDP) (measured in units of currency per year).

As of June 2019, the nation with the highest debt-to-GDP ratio is Japan with a ratio of 253%.

We love making these videos and are often interested & surprised just like you as even we dont know what twists and turns data will show. Usually it was influenced by some events and we will try to add all these bits and pieces so we can bring depth to the topic we are researching and explaining.

We collect data from sources that are credible, after that we arrange it and visualize it with our own software that we coded in D3 JS (JavaScript). Also we use Adobe Premier Pro for editing our videos. I would like to see a historical record related to national debt related to the IMF, wars, EU decisions, Operation Condor, etc to go along with this. *I'd like to add that I think who ever developed this is underestimating the impacts of Brexit.

It would be helpful to divide the bars into 2 to show how each component changes each year. Show the year ticking forward as a large watermark to emphasize it. I dislike the ratio as it encourages countries to grow their GDP to improve the ratio instead of having to reduce their debt (eg. USA). Fix the GDP scale to the date when they took out the loan.
