Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

Story 2. Well... There is a bit of confusion here. Those nice aliens don't need to learn that salmon pink is a reference to the flesh of the salmon.

Just explain that Earth (Terra) has an omnivore that is known to eat salmon. That is how that color is known.

This is a fantastic piece. The daily life of the average non military or noble is a lot more important and interesting than wars and invasion with humans constantly using hit and hide and using magic precision ugh.
It’s so much more interesting to see how alien life interacts with each other and how boring sentient black holes are.
The story of the orphan alien children and their human mother was entertaining because we get to see ourselves in the eyes of the strange and mysterious that’s a different story but it’s to make a point of good writing stands out.
