There are already external gpu enclosures for laptops, letting you use any gpu. The size of this one is impressive though.

Honestly I think best use for stuff like this would be for future handhelds like the steam deck 2 or Nintendo Switch 2. Imagine taking your handheld on the go playing some lite/older aaa games or indie games but when you get home, plug in the dock and then get laptop/desktop like performance in more demanding games.
