I lived in north FL from 2010 to 2017, and never once considered evacuating for a hurricane. With this one, however, I would have been out of there two days ago. Not to state the obvious, but Helene looks like an absolute monster. And weird projected path, too!

take the Walker Lake route. The drive back country Cali/NV/OR/ID is excellent and fuel is less expensive, less traffic. I'm curious what's in the bunkers there at Walker Lake. Also, the rumor of a tunnel?

The earthquakes in eastern Washington state looks to be near the Yakima artillery range for Lewis- McChord base in Tacoma WA. That’s where they play play with their big artillery. Maybe the smell of gas?
