Advanced JAX-RS 22 - REST API Authentication Mechanisms
Показать описание
This lesson aims to explain the different approaches to authentication for a REST API application. It also explains the workings of Basic Auth, the authentication mechanism we'll implement in this course.
You have mastered the ability to bring out information concisely in your tutorials which I believe is helping a lot of people including me. Thanks.

Excellent job - I especially like how you made the video "language-agnostic". So the focus was on REST API and not Java, C#, c+, etc. Well done.

Thank you...:) Sir.. It was nice explanation.
Precisely, in your explaination, Base 64 encoding made my 2 days hardwork on this topic successful.

I like the way you 'dismantle' the ideia so you can teach each part of it... that little intro/Basic/Advanced... simply efficient!
Take care, i just subscribed! ;)

Hi Kaushik since rest is based on the http protocol so session token cookie should also work for it like it works to maintain the session in http web applications? dont know why you asked that it will not work for rest api.

Very nice explanation, I really like your videos . I had a question on OAuth, you mentioned at the end that its better solution for authentication but if I understood correctly OAuth is for authorization and not for authentication, can you please clarify?

very healpful tips. thanks is not enough words for this amazing explanations.

wonderful explanation, I have a question regarding statelessness of rest APIs, rest APIs use HTTP (most of the time) and HTTP uses TCP under the hood, and the first thing TCP does is maintain a session (3-way handshake) with the server, doesn't it violate the stateless principle?
