Mutton is often a meat people shy away from because of its strong flavor. But do try this recipe! Both the spices and the cooking of the meat make this Tagine extra tender and subtle. Style it up with some dried apricots, elevating it and making it easy to make and perfect to serve for dinner parties.

Serve this with Moroccan Couscous ( a recipe I’ve shared earlier) which is excellent for soaking up all of the delicious sauce while you reminisce through the night markets off the streets of Marrakesh.

My Moroccan Spice Blend is simple
Equal parts of smoked paprika, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove , ginger, celery salt and a pinch of saffron. Powdered, stored and used as required.
