A returner's magic should be special deserves top 6 without a doubt in fall 2023. And seeing frieren at no 1, it really deseves the no 1 spot. How a simple story can be so overwhelming is what frieren is. It will go down in history if people really understand it.

Apothecary Diaries is my favorite this fall! If you're tired of fantasy or sci-fi, try this anime.
Top tier visuals, great plot and the MC is funny as hell!

A couple not on here that I'm enjoying:
1. The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess- Pretty funny and the action scenes look surprisingly great.
2. Shy- Another one that wasn't on my radar but one I look forward to each week now. Some of these episodes hit hard emotionally. Def worth a watch.
3. Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig- Really thought I was only gonna give this one episode as it was just some random ecchi show but this story is crazy dark. Not what I was expecting at all.

Ragna crimson is my favorite since i read the manga. Happy for the anime.

I love how Frieren takes it's time to tell you the tale of the world around the characters. Bit by bit you'll see what has happened to places the heroes have been before and what their impact has left behind. It really does world building like very few other shows and it's definitely my fav of the season.

I am enjoying Under Ninja a lot more than I thought I would. That show throws so many curveballs at you, I'm always just excited to see what happens next. If "the cringe is intentional" sounds like something you don't mind, I highly recommend giving it a try

Just gonna mention tearmoon empire I think it's being rly underrated. Pretty solid good anime.

As someone who watches mostly shounens, Apothecary Diaries is my standout #1 this season w/o a doubt

I ended up reading Berserk of Gluttony as a joke because the cover art looked like it was ripping off Chivalry of a Failed Knight. I'll admit, it was a decent, mindless read. I never expected it to get animated. I was kind of looking forward to it. . . but when I watch it, I only find myself wishing it was animated better.

At first, I thought I was just going to watch the first few episodes of Frieren and then stop because I expected it not to be action-focused but now, I'm watching the new episodes twice haha. There's still not a lot of action but it's still so good. It reminds me of the first season of Re:Zero.
