I have been OBSESSED with Demon Slayer for the last two years and just NOW am I finally getting around to drawing all my faves from this show!! So here's my take on Sanemi Shinazugawa from Kimetsu No Yaiba, or Demon Slayer!

Sanemi is just a poor guy who's life kept getting fucked up over and over and he carried that survivor's guilt without having a proper way to mannage his traumas and emotions besides driving people away from him so they don't suffer 😢😢

For all Hashira, there is a reason behind their behavior. Same with Sanemi, so you shouldn’t hate him for being so angry and aggressive, It’s how he survived. And we should treasure him because of what he’s been through, cus under all that anger is a sweet and caring man <33

I don’t blame him for wanting Nezuko gone. Grief is a powerful thing which he probably knows and could’ve made Tanjiro keep a demon that was a danger. Of course this wasn’t the case but it could’ve been. I don’t know how he possibly managed to try and stab Nezuko because of her dang adorable nature though. And I probably never will. In the later seasons that I’ve yet to watch (I’ve got to Tengen’s intro as a real character) I really hope he gives Nezuko the apology she deserves.

I read the manga a while ago, but without spoling anything, Sanemi became one of my favorite pillars very quickly. He honestly, needs the biggest hug of anyone in Demon Slayer... 😢

He’s a well written character and his and Genya’s story is one of my favorites in demon slayer but honestly I’d be terrified if I ever met him in real life and try to avoid him as much as possible
Of course that could just be me cause I start crying if someone so much as raises their voice at me

Sanemi is definitely my favorite character in the entire series. He really shows his true colors in the Infinity Castle Arc.

Sanemi is so underrated and I shall protect him and hug him because he freaking needs it! Manz had to go as far as kill his MOTHER to protect Genya because he was the only remaining family member he had.

He needs to just let his brother hug him, confess why he’s a complete jerk to him and cry for about three weeks straight-

Senemi hade a very similar backstory to Tanjiro with both there family getting killed by a demon the only survivor from the attack is one of there siblings, the only sibling they have left is a demon (or eats demons to get power ) having sibling rejection in a dream or in reality. Sounds pretty similar if you think about it but the difference is that Senemi chose anger and hatred but Tanjiro chose happiness and forgiveness.

Me personally, i think Sanemi is massivley underrated. Of course you might think i only think like this after i saw season 3 but you could already feel that Sanemi was hurt deep inside after his first appereance.
