637 - LIVE! Arven's (pointless) Shiny Uncatchable Toedscool after 6680 SRs

Working on some movies, but I figured this was neat (and pointless) enough for its own video. Crazy reset hunt, very lucky to have my setup to hunt this on!

You don't have to tell me how stupid this hunt is because I already know. I just thought it would be neat to see!

Some additional info:
-out of the 5 titan battles, I've seen instances of people finding Nacli, Shellder, and Toedscool and heard about people finding Scovillain. I haven't seen any reports of the Greedent yet!
-the titans themselves do seem to be properly shiny locked
-Arven's partner Pokemon are a different size every reset. I was lucky to get a pretty big Toedscool!
-I am still working on the movies please be patient

One of these days, Game Freak should make it so your rival can have shiny Pokemon and keep the shiny for future battles. It would drive shiny hunters insane.

Man I was really hoping mid-explanation that this meant his pokemon would stay shiny, and that some madlad out there could attempt a "Full shiny vs Arven lighthouse battle" (Minus Mabosstiff of course). That would honestly be so funny to have a rival battle where he's completely dripped out with shinies

The reason a copy of your Pokémon shows up when evolving after a Titan Battle is because the way the animation works now is that after the battle, it will pull up the Pokémon that needs to evolve and do the animation.
Normally, this is fine because the Pokémon in question is removed from the overworld after the battle. However, in Titan Fights, the Pokémon that finished the battle gets to stay out to do a victory pose, like with Totem Pokémon in SM and Gym Battles in SwSh. This means that when the game does the evolution animation for the winner, it sends out the Pokémon again, like it would if it was a different Pokémon, but doesn't unload the one that did the victory pose.

I found two random shiny toedcool the other day, named them Doodlebob and Doodleboy. Toedscool is definitely one of my favorite gen 9 pokemon, he really is a funny little mushroom guy
