Miscanthus at Warden Law

This video shows part of the Warden Law BioReGen Life Project site which was established in 2007. The two species planted in this area were Miscanthus (often called elephant grass) and reed canary grass. We think this is one of the first UK plantings of Miscanthus on a landfill site. This video was was the 16th successive season of growth at this site. The previous year's growth was particularly strong after the warm spring and early summer of 2020 - you might remember this time well!
