YouTube is only social media platform that I use. Deleted facebook, twitter, instagram years ago and never look back.

Moderation with social media is a huge challenge. As the platform grows in size it's just not scalable to have a person do it manually, but then machines get it wrong too. How does a machine differentiate between someone calling another person a fool because they want to insult them, to you calling your friend a fool jokingly? That's where the lines are blurred because people's humors will sometimes thread that line so a lot of false positives could happen.

However, removing anonymity from the platform probably will somewhat curb it as people can't "troll" as much if their actual info is in the spotlight, but then you potentially lose all the people concerned with privacy for various reasons (security, fear of discrimination/persecution etc) so I appreciate the challenges this platform is facing and wish them the best!

I quit social media because of the lack of compassion and unwillingness to connect beyond superficial reasons. If this app stays to its stated intentions, I am in! 🌈💜💗💞

Absolutely, as even a cursory glance at human history will reveal, when not restrained by forces of civilization, human nature will propel people and nations into horror. A civilization that values empathy and dignity for all has a right to enforce its standards of conduct. Any person is allowed to exercise their freedom even as it ventures into enmity, but they will have to express than hatred somewhere else and only to those who choose to engage with it. People have the right to live free of fear, even as the agent(s) of that fear choose to define their actions as "freedom."

Why not register with real name for the network then use a user name for interacting. that way any user violeting rules can be tracked and blocked by the network. while user can interact with each other anonymously if they want

I stopped Fb because of the algorithms that would not allow me new global content ( always the same thing). And that was within the first year of Fb launching. This social media site looks ideal for me. My hopes are that you are successful 🕊
