Trader Joe’s keep fcking with us, acting like they’re going come to my city. Right downtown a small bougie grocery store was built & the og grocery store pulled out so Trader Joe’s was acting like they were going to buy it and set up shop right on the edge of historic downtown. But then nothing, it sat empty for years. I think it’s a gallery now. My conspiracy theory is we have a strong co-op that had expanded and it’s super nice now. They even opened a 2nd one in an old Safeway. I think they think the market is over saturated but btch that sht is expensive & it’s mostly organic & natural food. It’s great but soap costs $6.95 & lotion starts at like $15. I end up ordering or getting my sht from a cheaper store. I’d love Trader Joe’s to be close bc they have great stuff and it’s actually affordable.
