I recently learned the bassist Ben Seals passed away. I never met Ben in real life but he touched me and an entire group of people's lives in Woodstock GA. We formed our own band heavily inspired by his work called I Create.I Have Dreams shaped the pallets of me and my friends group and influenced us to start our own little music scene. I remember adding Ben on Myspace and messaging him telling him how much his music meant to me and, instead of being a diva like many would, he took the time to talk to me and field my millions of fanboy questions. It might not sound like much, but his demeanor and his musical contributions really helped shape mine and others ethics in my area on how to proceed and be a decent human being. I Have Dreams was so real, so caring, and so reflective on what it means to be a friend. Getting to talk to Ben on the very limited way I did was something that stuck with me. I even remember him offering to mail me stuff from FL to keep me in the loop of his music! All of this extended to a total stranger who appreciated his art.

Rest in peace Ben as well as Daniel who inspired all of this.

still listening in 2025. story time.
i moved to tally in 2019. before i lived here back in the early 00's i used to drive here all the time to go to and play shows. the scene here was so awesome back then. every week bands i love like this one were playing somewhere. there were so many venues booking good emo, screamo, hardcore, punk, indie, ect. bands. the cow haus, the beta bar, big daddys, club downunder, grand central cafe, floydds, 926, not to mention all the house shows. i was devestated to find when i moved here in 2019 that the scene is nothing like it was back then. the era when these guys were around was such a special, beautiful time. honestly i knew it back then but i guess i was hoping it would go on like that forever. boy was i wrong. oh well, at least we still have these videos to spark that bitter sweet nostalgia. i willl remain hopefull that the scene someday ignites back into its former glory. until then at least i still have dreams.

​this band is the definition of making something horrible, beautiful. most inspiring thing in this time of my life. they taught me how to proceed and what to do whether they meant to or not. cold outside and dreaming. completely possessed by loss. it was being the music. they were the hugs that made it possible to keep going and never forget. i can only hope that the music i play in the future can move someone to brighter things like this

its more apparent now than ever that people must come together. hearts must connect to form the one thing we all belong to. or else this will not feel great. this will not feel so good.

You have no idea how much I have looked for some flacs of this record, I found it on IRC back in the 2000s and its THE MOST important record I never had, its literally a piece of music history that will be remembered forever as a how pure the sound of grief, friendship and love was in that era. Absolutely classic. Just this past week I introduced someone new to this record. I can't imagine ever growing old enough to not loving and drawing inspiration from listening to these songs a few times a year. Myself and others will make sure that this lives forever. And these guys really could not have made a better tribute to their friend. ❤
