God hath appointed a day wherein he will judge the world in righteousness, by Jesus Christ; to whom all power and judgement is given of the Father;1 in which day, not only the apostate angels shall be judged,2 but likewise all persons that have lived upon the earth shall appear before the tribunal of Christ,3 to give an account of their thoughts, words and deeds and to receive according to what they have done in the body, whether good or evil
General overview of the concept of Judgment

- God will not bend His righteous standard
5. Its mediator: ‘by Jesus Christ’
- Jesus will not come as a Savior but as judge

- receiving of judgment according to the account given
Biblical Texts: 2 Cor 5:10, Mt 16:27, 25:31, Rom. 2:6-16; 2 Thess. 1:5-10; 2 Peter 3:1-13

A. The general judgment and general resurrection is impossible to reconcile with any form of premillenialism (none can populate the millenial kingdom).
- The book of Revelation must be taken figuratively. When the explicit meaning given we will take it literally.
B. The general judgment and general resurrection is impossible to reconcile with popular easy believism.
- Salvation is not an issue but a degree of one's reward.
- Both believers and unbelievers will appear in judgment.
- It is true that salvation is not by works but this salvation will produce work (Eph 2:9-10).
- judgment is acoording to works for works (taken as a whole) are manifestations of God's supernatural work of salvation (new birth).
- Our character manifests our relationship to Christ.
- True Christians do not live with secret sin.
- Salvation from sin is not earned but only through faith in Christ.
