India is so proud of you. I am an Indian rescuer/adoption coordinator and people here are so obsessed with foreign breeds and neglect their own local Indie breeds. I always have a hard time finding our Indian breeds a good home here in India but now many people have started adopting stray dogs instead of buying one. Still a long way to go.

I am from India and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for adopting this lovely dog and blessing him with a forever home. Unfortunately, here in india there are millions of stray dogs wandering on busy streets for food that end up getting hit by vehicles or get sick and diseased early on. The bigger problem is that there is no pet keeping culture in india due to the state of income and hectic lifestyle of people here which is such a shame because these dogs have so much love to offer . I respect you and all the Americans for your compassionate hearts towards these animals for making some room in your homes for their lives. God bless you all !
