DIY HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN SCENTED LOTION & SAVE MONEY!

Scented lotion can get quite pricey! Especially when you buy the expensive luxury perfumed lotions. Here's a super quick and easy way to make your own scented lotion, just in case some of you didn't think try this out. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I have no idea how different perfumes would react mixed with different lotions on skin, so please be careful and kindly do this at your own risk.

It's funny, I've been doing this for quite a while and I have never seen anyone else do it. And I do exactly what you do, put some lotion in my hand and 2 sprays of my perfume on top of it and mix it. This way you have the sented lotion to match all your perfumes!

I use cheap perfumes instead of a sanitiser. They're 80% alcohol at least plus oil. And obviously smell nicer.

That's what I did. Bath and Body Works ran out of body creams and lotions for some fragrances for the fall and I pumped my Jergens Shea Butter lotion which is thick and really quenches thirsty skin and spray the lotion in my hand and the shea butter really brings the fragrance out

I have never thought of doing that but I will do now. I do often apply non scented body lotion before I put on perfume. I have Angel Body cream which is great, it leaves your skin so soft as it is really luxurious and I think that if anyone finds Angel fragrance just too much the body cream is just right, you get a beautiful soft scent of Angel wafting round you all day x

Yes.. I use ceravie. I apply the unscented body lotion and then I do another layer of the lotion, this time with my perfume of choice. I personally feel more comfortable just adding the body lotion on its own so its fully working on my skin. But then I just apply ( a very generous amount of perfume) into my hand with another layer of body lotion. I have ones I need to use up, and honestly its such a great way to ensure nothing gets wasted. It absolutely lasts. Then just spray your perfume as normal

I love body lotions and creams and body butters
and I think most of them are ridiculously expensive, !
I sometimes use oils as a basis and mix them with essential oils, mostly vanilla, bergamot, , sandalwood or rose🌹 oil. I apply them oil on the skin and then I spray my perfume. It lasts super long!

What a great idea! I have a litre of pump bottle fragrance free body lotion. I also have a few travel empty plastic bottles. I could mix the lotion and fav frags in them and make a few customised hand/ body lotions. Thanks for the great tip! :-)

I used to do that too! Issue is, fragrance in a very occlusive formula like Vaseline anything can get very irritating and trigger sensitivity/allergies over time. Especially tricky since you don't know what's your fragrance is really made of

Will try this ! I just lather on the lotion if i want my perfume to last.. and I usually use Palmer’s. But that can have such a strong scent.. so i just use e45. 😂

YSL will NOT remake my perfumes matching lotion for some reason. Only offering a travel sized with sets. The big lotion is Sold out and not restocked for over a year now at Dillards, Ulta, Sephora, even their website. I’m gonna do this

I used to do this in the past but for some weird reason the body creams without fragrance still smell like something !” I used the seba med one (available at Kruidvat) it works great with molecule and other molecule based scents but I have not found a one that works well with others. Currently having in my collection as scented lotions: Byredo Gypsy water, Lancaster Eau de Lancaster, Monoi oil by Yves Rocher, Premier Figuier by Lartisan Parfumeur lotion and an Moroccan rose oil from REN ...
