What about Project Management? I want to get into it and I have a bachelors in communications so not much knowledge of PM. Also I’m in Asia and I’d rather stay here a while. Should I get a master in PM or just the cert? I’m worried that the accreditation of. A Taiwanese school might not be accepted in USA and I can’t find the answers online.

Thank you so much for posting. Graduate Certification is very overlooked & underappreciated. I got a graduate certificate from the University of Florida for Athletic Development. Best thing I ever did because I saved soooo much time, money & it advanced my current career tremendously.

3:36 Everytime I see a job around they want bachelor's degree, master degree, doctors degree, I feel a dwarf with my master business certificate professional, I feel like the fifth person behind nobody and I don't even apply for that job, I don't know what you going to say to me, honestly I have 3 certificates, one in psychology, other in economics and the last one as a master business consultant professional, I realize that credentials or diploma is only about money not wisdom, they look my certificates like trash, so underappreciated, undervalued, it's demoralizing because you don't have plenty of money to pay to yourself a doctorate, my morale is on the floor sometimes, greetings from Chesapeake Virginia, The United States of America.

Like she said, please do your research. There are so many other options out there. Don’t get sucked into the scam that grad school is the only way.

This was a very great video which helped to broaden my perspective on a certificate and Masters. I think cost wise a certificate would be better for someone who doesn't have the funds and a Masters degree would be great likewise to help you expand your knowledge of different horizons. Either way both are great! Thank you for this video.

I have thought about getting my MPH but I am undecided. I wanted to obtain my CHES and also certify as a Doula since I plan on entering the Maternal and Child Health field. Although I want to pursue becoming a Doula I felt as though having the backing of a MPH may make me more marketable to clients or employers (plus I felt I could leverage a higher salary with a Masters).

Very informative, thanks. Like you said it really depends on your career goals. I am pursuing Cyber / Infosec mgmt and just completed the CISSP. I have thought a masters would level me up but they have Cyber Mgmt certs out there as well.

Just came across your page.. It def depends as you said.. MPH they do have certificate programs. I live in NYC and one school offers it as a certificate and masters. I also seen online schools offer MPH certificate programs.

If you are lacking in experience a certificate my be a good way to make up for it as some employers see it as such. I know some people who got their Master's but have little to no experience in their field and are getting snubbed next to people with a Bachelor's plus experience. A certificate is like an enhancer, but on it's own may not be as strong.
