HEY GIRL HEY!

Today I am showing you my skin care routine from start to finish. I focus on acne, hyperpigmentation, enlarge pores and hydration. This routine has really been helping me keep my skin as clear as possible - although I am breaking out right now on my left cheek (what's new)! I get hormonal breakouts as well, which are no fun.

I hope that you enjoy it and please let me know if you have any recommendations

Healthy skin is not perfect skin. So true!!! I tried to get rid of my pores for years, not realizing they’re just part of my skin. I’ve focused on mild exfoliation and moisture/hydration and my skin has never looked/felt better (and it’s still not perfect). I’m glad you started off with washing your hands and the double cleanse is a YES!

Skincare is so important, and I agree that good skin is not perfect skin. It's good to see that you are discovering what works for you. This has been a journey that I've been on for about 5 years. I too have oily acne prone skin that gets dehydrated . Even though I breakout, it has not been too bad and I have found that being hydrated helps to make the hyperpigmentation go away faster. For my skin, I mainly focus on hydration. For me, I am always on the hunt for a really good sunscreen, and a moisturiser for the changing seasons. The acne is annoying, but thankfully I know that hydration will help to fade them.

Agreed! It’s all about what works for you🤷🏽‍♀️ I myself began oil cleansing and it was def a game changer for my oily skin.

I too have oily skin therefore I keep my routine quite simple. I had horrible acne during my teen years and even up until my early 20s. And now in my mid 20s I think what has really helped is my diet (eating greens + cutting out oily/processed foods) and using mainly natural products. Seriously, I check the bottles like I do for my hair products and if it's too complicated, I skip it. So, I use face scrubs with ingredients like tea tree, witch hazel, baking soda etc., face masks like (tumeric + honey or lime), aloe vera i.e the actual plant from my backyard. Ha. My face has improved tremendously without burdening my pockets or needing a complex routine.

Before I started taking care of my skin I used to wonder how people did 10-step beauty routines, especially at night when I’m hella lazy. But maybe it’s being older now - 😢and thinking of skincare as “me time” it’s actually something I look forward to. But I’ve pared it down to 5 -7 steps

Yesss girl ! Team skincare routine we're all with you 💪 💆
I stopped my routine and I even not remember why... And some months ago I became to see a lot of acne and marks all on my face. So I had to come back to my korean skincare routine. And my skin comes back to life 😍

For my routine is always the same base, just the products change :
- Oil cleansing : Clean it zero by Banila Co or Rice water bright by The face shop

- Water cleansing : Miracle Cleansing bar by Some by me or Snail repairing foam cleanser by Mizon

- Mask : sheet mask (too much brands 😅) or exfoliating mask (Miracle Green tea tox by Some by mi)

- Toner/Essence : Miracle toner by Some by mi or Essence toner by Pyunkang Yul

- Serum : Miracle serum by Some by mi

- Night/Day cream : Miracle cream by Some by mi or Good night white sleeping mask by Mizon

- Sunscreen for day (Yep I am a good student now 😄) : Sun'oya by Inoya

I'm in my early 20s and my skin just broke out, i think my adolescence is a little late. So i started using the 'Acnes Mentholatum line' and for 7 months now, my skin is so so soft, i only have a few spots here and there

You go girl! I enjoyed this video. I’ve had acne in the past and my skin has finally calmed down. I’m not into expensive products right now but I may get back into it. I’ve been focused on my diet and getting sleep. And very little sugar.

Another great video and kudos for showing reveling your skin makeup free. I had perfect skin until adult acne discovered me at 30! after years of trials I can recommended practically any Liz Earle products (I tend to use in the morning) her toner is to die for. All organic and she's vegetarian. Also try Decleor they have a fab range, miscellar water is great plus their aromessance range of serums work, I liked Neroli. keep up the good work - I discovered in lockdown and you're my haircare guru😊

Nice video. But aren’t there too many actives and exfoliants? I found that I was irritating my acne further with all the exfoliating steps. By dialing the actives down, it improved my acne and skin barrier drastically. I now just use the Paula’s choice only 3 times a week. I also use my other actives in the mornings on exfoliation nights and twice daily on other nights.

Great video. There’s a non-toxic skin and body care brand by Marla Rene Beauty and Co. I have used them for a couple of years now and have had amazing results.

Hey, I suffer from acne and hyperpigmenation also. You are using products that cancel each other out which reduces their effectiveness meaning you will have to use them for longer resulting in you spending more money. Dr Alexis on youtube is really good at explaining how to combat acne and fight hyperpigmentation at the same time. It's not an easy battle but her tips really work if you want to check them out. Wishing you healthy skin!
