How to make an Electrostatic Polarity Detector (Electric Field Detector) DIY - PCB Tutorial

This circuit is an Electrostatic Polarity Detector, it is able to detects electrostatic charges and indicates their polarity with two LEDs (Red LED = Positive charge, BLUE LED = Negative charge). In the video an experiment is performed to show how it is possible to distinguish the positive charges from the negative ones present on a balloon.

Components:
- 1x Antenna DIY
- 1x 4011 IC
- 1x DIP 14 Pin
- 2x 68pF Ceramic Capacitors
- 2x 330Ω Resistors 1/4 Watt
- 1x 3 MΩ Resistor 1/4 Watt
- 1x Red LED (for Positive Charge)
- 1x Blue LED (for Negative Charge)
- 2x 1N4148 Diodes
- 1x 9V Battery Adapter

*Don't use my PCB for profit or sponsored videos.

From the top of the board, which way are the LEDs to be soldered? The positive side of the LED “anode, ” on the left or right side of the board? Is it the same for both the red and blue LEDs?

I built according to schenatic, but Why does the Blue led stay on ? Is it to sensitive? What materials have Positive Static Charge? Regards.

Well I got the boards .. I put it all together works great. Except for the positive led. The negative works aweso
me. But I cant get the positive to react at all... any suggestions?
Also the antenna pins.. it appears the one on the right is NOT connected to any circuit only the left antenna. Is that just a pin to hold the antenna in place or am I wrong about the right antenna pin not being connected..??

I followed you instructions and built this device. I'm just curious as to when turned on the blue light come on and stays on even while the red light displays? Is this normal? Any thoughts?
