In this episode I am once again joined by Duncan Barford, occult practitioner, counsellor, and author of ‘Occult Experiments in the Home’.

Duncan details the different categories of spirits and entities, ranging from ghosts to demons to angels to elementals and land spirits.

Duncan reveals his own encounters with these entities, recalls paradigm shifting fire kasina retreats with Daniel Ingram, and shares his own ideas about the importance and inevitability of working with the dead while on the spiritual path.

Duncan also explains the Goetia, a controversial system of summoning demons for personal gain; recalls his own and others’ experiences of the system; and reflects on what drives practitioners to seek tangible contact with the realms beyond.

Duncan speaking about his father is one of the most powerful stories I have ever heard. Beautiful. Thank you both for sharing this with the world

I heard Duncan’s voice and was immediately pleased, warmed and intrigued. Duncan’s free content is amazing and I’m so grateful for his thoughts. Thanks, as always, to GV for letting us in on your conversation.

Duncan is great. I reached out to him years ago when reading his blog after pursuing meditative and spiritual practices myself, and now years later deeper into the path I am incredibly grateful for his kind and intelligent guidance.

thank you for touching upon that pentagram in the fire kasina incident. I think about it quite often actually, ever since hearing Daniel describe it on an episode a few years ago. I very much appreciate Duncan speaking about it.

Thank you for inviting so many high quality guests and asking so many great questions. This is a niche channel and may not get thousands of "likes" but please know that the content is very appreciated for those specific few.

This episode is so rich. Thank you both for your deep exploration & openness to the range of possibilities & potential in our current age to old ways of being in relation to the more than human world.

My father died unexpectedly in 2021. although I had lost grandparents before, losing my beloved father so suddenly changed me deeply. I very much do appreciate Duncan's perspective on living with the dead 🙏

@GuruViking Not sure why this episode has no captions. I wonder something needs to be enabled while uploading?

Duncan, I have had the same experience with the dead in dreams. When it's "just a dream" they're normal. But the moment I get too curious and ask them things like "what's it like to be dead?" "what's the other side like?" etc etc, they cannot answer, do not answer, or something happens to break up the communication and cut the experience off.
