Vocal Reverb Side Chain for Clarity and Depth (FL Studio 20)

In this video I show 2 vocal reverb techniques to help control and shape a reverb. The first is a side chain effect where the kick pushes or ducks the reverb down and you get a classic sidechain effect.
the second is a technique where the reverb ducks down while the vocal is on and swells up after the singer has stopped.

I have yet to side-chain reverb but I learned that's what it was a few weeks ago to get the reverb/delay to come back up and I could never, on my own, find how to do that. I may not use FL Studio but that doesn't stop me from watching tutorials :) Love seeing tutorials that are technical and creative. Thanks!

Great video! Maybe I'm doing things incorrectly, but everytime I try this compression sidechain method for my reverb on my main vocal, it ends up compressing the actual main vocal along with the reverb itself. Any helpful tips on how not to do this and still achieve the sidechain compression effect, or am I not doing it properly?

There is a plugin called soothe2 if im not wrong, sidechain in this plugin is awesome for this reverb or delay sidechain
