This girl has started treating her bi-polar, is facing her financial situation, is maintaining a relationship and is in the neonatal stage of her own business. Dani is a badass!

This guy is swiftly becoming a national treasure. He’s honest in his evaluations and compassionate when dealing with real life struggles. To immediately ask her if she’s safe in regarding housing isn’t something that we see much of this day.

It's an absolute crime how much we get to hear about Caleb's dog and how little we get to see it

Right off the bat, why did Caleb asking “is it safe? Are you safe?” Get me right in the heart

“I’d give myself a zero.”
What?! A person with self awareness?! She’s going to be fine if she can be that honest. Rock on, Dani!

I love the way Caleb says ‘we’ instead of ‘you’ when describing a bad situation/decision.
It shows empathy and gets us all invested.
Yes. ‘We’ are not doing anymore bullshit spending!

She seems so sweet. I wish her the best. She's in treatment and seems willing and self-aware.

Honestly.. she’s so much more honest and self-reflective than most guests. Most guests deserve their situation.

Coming on this show and openly admitting a mental health struggle that's tied to your financial situation is extremely important and brave. She's on a path to a brighter future now with medication therapy and a financial plan, good luck to her!

Is it just me or is Caleb the NICEST HES EVER BEEN in this I think the fact that she is accountable of her actions is what he respects vs others that justify their actions and deny any wrongdoing.

She has legit mental health struggles, doesn’t use them as an excuse, owns her mistakes and wants to grow from them. One of the most hopeful episodes i have seen i am really rooting for her!!!! Please stay on your meds my friend, I’ve seen too many people fall off and continue down the rabbit hole but it seems like you’re really doing the right things to recover!

This girls the sweetest thing in the world. I just wanna hug her. Such an innocent demeanor. Hope she does well and builds an awesome clientele in her grooming business!

Use Libby instead of Audible! You can borrow tons of quality audiobooks connected to your library card. You get them for 2 weeks at a time and can always renew if no one's waiting for them. Libby is a lifesaver on my commute. Wishing you the best on your financial journey.

I feel terrible for those with bipolar, seems like it can really take a toll on your health and finances. I'm glad she's getting on top of it though, best of luck!!

I’d love to see the follow up with her. She took responsibility and for that reason alone I’m rooting for her. I just wanna see a follow up with someone on track with Caleb’s advice.

Ooooof. Statute of Limitations on debt (written contracts) in Oklahoma is 5 years. Starting to pay those debts 6 years later was a horrible move financially, though of course that's what keeps collections companies in business. They probably bought that (formerly) time-barred debt for two cents on the dollar.

EDIT: Definitely double check how to properly negotiate with collections. What they will try to do is take your half and say you can pay the rest later. Get it in writing that, by accepting your payment, they will close the account and either delete it or mark it paid in full, and do not make any payments until you have a letter from them saying as much.

I was waiting for an episode like this. I did exactly what Caleb described here. From 18-20 during my heroin addiction I racked up $6k in credit card debt. By the time I was 27-28 it all fell off my credit report, I had gotten clean, and those same companies I owed money before were giving me new cards, which I used to build my credit from 500-800 now at 30 years old. It is possible to change your life if you’re ready to put the work in. At this point I can get any loan, I have $20, 000 in credit at my disposal and I’d never for the life of me not pay off a card right away. Get those rewards and use them for fun!
