Sik @ Flamingo Land Resort (Offride)

Some offride footage of Sik @ Flamingo Land Resort that I got last month when I visited for a day out. This coaster's pretty good, I got to be first ride of the day on 27/07/23 and thought it was a solid ride with a good selection of elements and forces. I really like how during the heartline rolls at the end you REALLY feel like you're being lifted out of your seat!

This ride is pretty interesting to me too because of the fact that it has a pretty interesting backstory that spans 10 years. This ride was initially meant to open at a theme park in Brazil called Hopi Hari, it was all advertised as a 'Brazil Record Breaker' at the park for being a 10 inversion coaster, the most in Brazil at the time.

Sadly, due to Hopi Hari going bankrupt at some point, it was later sold off to Movie Animation Park Studios in Malaysia where it sat in storage before being sold to Flamingo Land in 2019, where construction started and was finished by 2020, opening on July 2nd 2022. Ironic that it started off as a record breaker in Brazil only to end up in a country which already had this exact same coaster layout, despite this version being an improved revision with better speed and pacing.

With that being mentioned, I have yet to experience Collosus at Thorpe Park. I hear it's a similar experience, just slower due to the drop turning, then dropping and the ride using OTSRs instead of a Lap Bar like on Sik. I expect it to be a less intense and thrilling Sik, but I still have my expectations that it'll be a fun, albeit maybe rough for its age, ride.

Also, ignore the background audio, I didn't get much time to go record footage of the rides as everyone wanted to move from ride to ride and get stuff done quickly, I caught this during a break where everyone wanted to go and watch some of the entertainment they had which you can hear in the background lol, enjoy your little dance to it I suppose.
