🖼 How to create a gallery wall ⬇️

1. Collect various sized frames from thrift shops, charity shops & antiquie fairs or online. Make sure to remove any glass or plastic panels to avoid reflections/flares.

2. Decide on a layout, I usually do this by arranging all my frames on the floor. Take a reference picture once you’re happy with the layout. I’ve shared 10+ gallery wall layout ideas on my blog -

3. Here’s how to hang frames perfectly every time: place some tape on the back of a frame and mark where the hooks are with a pencil/pen. Then place the tape on the wall, check that its level with a spirit ruler and then simply hammer the nails on top of the marks that you made earlier. Or use removable Command hooks. Remove the tape and you’re good to go.

4. Hang largest frame first, using reference photo as guide and then proceed with hanging the rest of your frames.

5. Finally, insert some new prints and you’re done. Etsy is my go to for finding vintage prints or unique prints from independent & local artists.
