Lol guy is blown away by an accelerometer. "IT CAN START WITHOUT A BUTTON?". The printing itself in low gravity is the complicated part. Not the 10c component in every smart phone and gaming controller.

Cool printer. Maybe you buried the lead 🙂
"This thing prints, post processes and cures in a little over 2 minutes".
Just as well as the Virgin Galactic only experiences zero g for 10 to 15 minutes.

The skin graph idea is so sci fi cuz I could totally imagine a small version with like a suction cup that you press against the leg and it prints right onto the wound.

spin a radial barrel and print on top of it, like on top of a cd, with exactly right spin radial acceleration, upwards

I swear some parts of this printer are 3d printed themselves like at 8:30 if they are that's just brilliant

Hey Joel, have you heard about the full metal conductive cu-29 fillament that prints like PLA? You should check it out!

Virgin Galactic's vehicle is a glorified "vomit comet".
It hasn't been to space (above the Kármán line), and it never will.
Prove me wrong.

I await Joel's video on the first commercialized version of this printer, and have my mouse ready to downvote the first comment complaining about how expensive it (or a kit) is. The future is bright.

watching this, and your other videos, was wondering your thoughts on the shutdown of Shapeways, and are there alternatives to them that allows us to create a virtual marketplace where other people could purchase 3d printed items that we upload, and the service prints and ships the items?

I would have never thought there would be such a vast range of use cases for what that kind of printer can produce! Very impressive!
