Ann DeLong is a career member of the Foreign Service currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor in the Bureau of Global Talent Management. Ann is committed to bolstering the Foreign Service by encouraging and mentoring the best and brightest from all walks of life to represent their government abroad. As a management-coned officer, Ann has served as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Management, in Human Resources, General Services, the Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations, Consular, and Staff Aide positions. Before joining the Foreign Service, Ann served as the Director of the State Department’s Family Liaison Office. Ann has lived overseas in Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Nigeria, El Salvador, Lithuania, Zaire, and Greece. She speaks Spanish, French, and Portuguese.
