THANK YOU!!!! I find concerts and crows massively overwhelming so I usually end-up just standing still, nodding my head and I’d occasionally sing along. I often worry that I’m not showing enough enthusiasm and that it’d be seen as me being bored or not caring for the band. However, I love music, especially when it’s live! It’s so much nicer to see artists play, feel the beat, the lights, etc plus many of them sound beyond amazing live!

For those wondering the song is called "Those who wait" by opal in sky

I absolutely agree.
At the same time... having just been at the greatest concert ever with an absolutely fabulous crowd, when the stars align once in a blue moon you need to also be READY AND MOSH!

I do this. Im usually thinking of when i first heard the song and reflect on it. Concerts are therapy sessions for me

Bro i usually feel so bad cause I just stand there like 😐 but I'm really enjoying myself! But that's kinda the reason I dont like going to them cause I feel like a weirdo lol but thank you for this reassurance

Right, you go to these concerts to have fun. If you feel more comfortable in the back then thats where you should be!

You are there for you and you only. If you do the thing you want to do at a concert, thats a win!

I agree. Not everybody has the same energy. Not everybody wants to be in the pit. Or even in the business of the crowd. For a whole host of reasons. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying your time in any way until you (anyone) becomes a threat or a harm to themselves or others. Other than that, people should enjoy themselves as they feel best and other people should leave them to it.

My guilty pleasure is if I'm towards the front enough, i turn around and view the crowd with my back to the band. It's a great feeling to look out at a sea of people on the same wavelength as you

I am terrified of the crowds
I feel like it looks like i’m not enjoying the concert if i just stand there wide eyed swaying to the music

I’m the guy who does this. But mostly because I’m incredibly socially anxious.

I don’t feel confident moving around a lot as I feel anxious that I look dumb or may unintentionally knock someone over.

I don’t go in pits as I wear glasses and they’re not cheap to repair or replace.

I wish I could get into pits or be more energetic, but I don’t believe there is a problem with standing like this at the back.

Much love lads, hope to see you in UK one day! ❤

I've run a small venue (skateshop) with whole shows like this. 😅 I remember seeing the love for the music in such a small space being a beautiful thing🥰 it felt good having a space like that, even if i didn't always like the tunes myself 😏🤙🏽

No, nope, no thanks. I will NOT promote the change of such a relatable move. I do this all the time. ❤

Man I agree you about 90 percent. Like don’t get me wrong people doing this is perfectly fine but it just feels off when the person doing just looks like they’d rather be somewhere else.
