Spining the ball gives an unexpectation to your opponent, expecially with varing angles and spin directions and speed. That is the basis of a chopper or spin ball player. This chop- shot is an example. The direction of the ball, spinning angle, and spinning speed can be varied to some degree, so that the opponent feel hard to return the ball correctly. Smashing and looping back is even harder, than just touch return the ball. Good work, Yangyang, your videos are so informative, well organized and sometimes funny and amazing!

Koki Niwa got lots of chance to do that because he uses left hand to play. If you are using right hand, you won't get that much opportunities in a game. The spinning side doesn't suit.
