Coding is a subset under the vast multitude of tasks in a software development cycle. Its probably the last step in the process. Anyone who thinks chatGPT will replace a proficient software development engineer does not understand how software engineering works. Just like I won’t hand a calculator to a 5 year old before he learns how to count, add or subtract using his brain and fingers, i wont encourage chatGPT use among entry level software engineers.
