I’m 24 and a college student and have a budget of $13k for my bike. I can’t choose one between Harley roadster Sportster OR Bmw R nineT original. Since you’re a experience rider and had ridden both harley sportster and RnineT could to tell me which one I should choose. I know both bikes are different and have thier own character but

I don’t want a bike that is expensive to maintain
Which one is more reliable
Which one would keep you interested in riding (since I’m gonna keep my bike for 5-7years)
Carrying bags and carrying passengers is not my problem
And I’m not a big fan of speed either
Let me know which one would you choose if you were a 24 year old guy and why
