I ALWAYS Wanted One! So I BOUGHT It!

I think Rachel will be happy with my latest purchase after she is able to witness how useful it is, what do you think? Did I make the right choice? In an attempt to be a little more fiscally responsible I went with the Kioti KB2485 tractor mounted backhoe instead of buying a Mini Excavator. Check out Adam @HometownAcres for more great content, and Matt and Sadie @FirewoodontheHill

Congratulations on the new (to you) attachment 😊 I know backhoe attachments don't get much attention nowadays but they are very useful. So many uses. Good video 👍

Having a mass to swing to one side or the other is incredibly helpful in side hills or compensating for an uneven load on the FEL.
It's a unending thing amazing people at the fact a b7100 can pack a 700lb log. With decent counter balance.
But also understand as you amp up what your lifting, your seriously stressing things. We have cracked the loader 5 times. Largely because of the stress of long lumber/logs twisting, a major stress on the loader.
.
if you have a economy 540 rpm option, you will probably find it more then enough.
I run are little tinkerbell 16hp in the 1080 rpm at mabe 1, 500rpm.
Plenty of power to run the hydraulics.
.
Granted being ran from the main tractor pump, could force you to run at full pto rpm.
One negative of not having a dedicated hydraulic system pump on pto.

Awesome buy and nice shirt! It’s never as easy as plug in play when buying used. Great job fitting it to your tractor.

Good Stuff, The Kids have a little bit smaller Kioti tractor than yours and if a backhoe comes into play, I will suggest the sub frame configuration .

I had a JohnDeere like that it took about 5/10 mins. to take off and on. :-) As a plumber it was one of my best investments. The trouble with some of those. They hang too far out from the back of the tractor for balance. The JohnDeere was all tucked in close.

Maybe try a floor jack. Build a plate to put on top of the jack. The jack has wheels that will help you line it up

Just like a blister, I show up after the work's all done... but if you have a cutting torch, and you know how to use it, you can just blow those welds off with the torch and not even touch the base metal that you want to save. Lots easier than grinding those welds out. Takes some practice, but it's not difficult.

Good work, Heath and Rachel! Did you ever get a cutting torch?
