People watch these videos, and I'm sure it seems impressive to most of them. But they will never know the feeling of awe you get from being up close to any of them. They are huge ships. Then when you see your first super carrier in person, it just takes your breath away. Still hard to believe that anything that large can actually float.

If you are just a run of the mill civilian, you owe it to yourself to drive past this yard. It’s indescribable how large and daunting these ships are, it will literally take your breath away

@ 3:25 - my dear, Normandy. Proud & honored to have served/deployed aboard her, part of *USABATGRU 95-3* 's Med Cruise. Captain DeMasi was the best C.O. any sailor could ever hope for, and he had/has the respect of every man who was under his command! God bless the USN. God bless our soldiers, sailors, airmen & Marines. And GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Sad to see the Enterprise in such bad shape. It and the previous carrier with the same name had very distinguished careers. Thanks for the wonderful years of service, ladies.

My father was stationed on the Enterprise shorty after it was commissioned. Im sure if he was still alive, he would be sad to see her looking like that.

Was on Enterprise CVN-65 from 92-96. Miss her. As the new one, CVN-80, will carry her name, may she serve as well as the others who bore her name. Lady E/ Big E! Anchors aweigh, my boys, anchors aweigh.

It’s so heartbreaking to see the Big E rotting away. A lot of memories on that bird farm. CR01 Div.

The first time I came here in 1977 on HMS Hermes, looking out of the scuttle it was glorious sunshine. When I looked out later once we were alongside, it was like an eclipse. Then we realized that an American carrier Enterprise was berthed at the other side of the jetty. We came here many times on Hermes. Happy days

I was stationed there in the early 2000's. The USS Dwight D Eisenhower and the USS WASP. Had some good times and bad time's and met some amazing people. Lots of history in that area.

Good to see BAE Systems represented in the USA. I stay up the road from Scotstoun and Govan yards in Glasgow, Scotland.

The Big E is currently sitting in the North end dry dock at Newport News Shipyard. I see it everyday driving across the JRB, it looks very tired. I understand they are undecided what to do with it, because of the reactors and radiation levels in the ship itself.
