I hate it when YouTubers make a thumbnail that promise one thing, but say another. I believe that that's called "LYING".

I hope the James Webb is ready to view and record the action!

We're gettin' Nova Explosion Live Events irl before gta 6.

Light Pollution is most likely going to make it hard to see for those in the city and that's sad. Light pollution is terrible the night sky would be so beautiful without it.

How is it changing the night sky forever when the event will only be visible for a week or 2? 😅

clickbait title ruined a good video. recurrent novas don't change anything forever. still cool though. unfortunately the clickbait title results in a downvote.

Still puzzled here. No matter the explosive force, what we're gonna see is still light/photons. The damn thing's 3000 ly away from us as claimed in this vid. Us seeing it now doesn't mean it already happened 3k years ago ? Or if it pops now, won't it take 3k years for the explosion lights to reach us ?

ok you are blowing this way out of proportion seeing how it will be just as bright as the north star if you're in a city you won't even see it

I'm just hoping and praying that Betelgeuse goes supernova in my lifetime

Because of its distance it means that this explosion actually happened roughly 3, 000 years ago and we're only seeing it now because of how fast light travels.

This nova will only be as bright as Sirius is. It's not going to be anything special. It will go from invisible to the naked eye to just a normal star to the naked eye.

Clickbait Alert: In naked eye perspective, it will be almost as bright as a star like Vega, so nothing exceptional

However, it will be a very important event for astronomers and space telescopes

I think the thumbnail made it overly dramatic, but I do love space. Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an eye out!

Born to late to explore the seas, born to early explore the heavens… born just in time for a total solar eclipse and nova explosion: we get to say goodbye to the useless dim North Star, make way for the nova star

feels like its already happening considering that here in the UK the sky is always randomly orange at sunset except not in the way that the sunset is beautiful, but that the sky just turns orange for some reason 😅😅 excited tho!!!!

I live in the Southwestern Utah desert. We have dark skies here. This should look good.

Thank you for the update on this. It's the first time I see one of your videos. I have to say it is of very good quality and I like how you explains things with great clarity. You have a new subscriber.
