PLEASE remember that the monetary limits include a listing with multiple items in stock i.e. if you list an item for sale at $100 and you say you have 5 of them in stock then that is $500 of your $5, 000 limit used for that one luck all!

I try to revise a product, & all I was revising was a picture and ebay says I have hit my limit & won't revise it??

Great breakdown!

As someone with a multi thousand rep selling account for well over a decade for specific items, I find this absolute BS... Can’t make secondary account to sell low end items that aren’t worth much individually, but when buying multiple actual gains a profit.

Majority of people I know have always seen eBay as a “easy/quick selling option” over a secure purchasing site. Could we see actual eBay competition soon? Only time will tell.

I hope you are able to give me a quick answer as i am in the midst... I have a selling limit of 5 items on my new account. Someone suggested NOT to sell anything NWT, do you agree? I had one nwt item i wanted to list and hope it wont create red flags..the rest are used items, the second but equally imortant question (and i know you cannot give an exact number since you dont control this but..) assuming all goes well with your first 10 (or 5 in my case) listings, what sort of increase on selling limits can one expect ? thanks

I have only 1 listing and I want to put a price of $1000 or more but they tell me I’m having a limit?? But then I lower to $500 just to check the still same error wtf help?

The feature to increase listings on ebay is still down. I've been stuck at 500 listings and should be able to increase as I've been Top rated plus for months. I've been thinking of upgrading to premium store, but not sure if they automatically increase limits to accommodate the new subscription or not?

The most correct way to increase the limit is to sell. The more you sell, the more eBay trusts you. I use Easync and my sales are increasing every day

If ebay wants me to sell more why do I have to pay promotions fees just to increase sales? Every month my sales seemed to be capped at 10% of listings (higher for promotions) or xxx dollar amount. I just can't do anything to get above that limit and it stays consistently at those levels. I'm a "Top Seller."

The fastest way I had my selling limits increase was to setup as a business account. It went from 10 to 5, 000 items. Within 40 days, it was raised again automatically to 11, 000 by ebay.

Great advice!! I wondered if you could help me. I want to buy small wholesale, non perishable items so that I can store at home and don’t have to worry about the quality decreasing. I also plan on making my own products and selling them. I don’t have a set idea of the products that I want to sell yet for example bicycle accessories. Is it a bad idea to sell too wide a range or should I just concentrate on one product type? Or should I open multiple business accounts selling the different products ? Any advice greatly appreciated !
