The simulation, called the Illustris, begins just 12 million years after the Big Bang and illustrates the formation of stars, heavy elements, galaxies, exploding super novae and dark matter over 14 billion years.

I seriously doubt the accuracy of this simulation. It shows all the major clusters of matter pretty much at fixed locations throughout the entire process.

The heavy elements, which are essential for life as we know it, are everywhere. You can see just how IMPOSSIBLE it is that we're alone in the universe.

The universe is a brain of a larger being subjectively experiencing itself inside its own head. We are the thoughts and memories of this larger consciousness. Quantum mechanics explain why our world is not fully formed and depends upon the changing thought patterns of a greater being. The expansion is like growing synapses and stars are neurons firing to form new connections. Our experience of consciousness is a fractal of a much bigger consciousness. This consciousness will eventually splinter off into yet another fractal of consciousness.

Is the universe spinning or is the camera orbiting for better view?

what about simulating a bunch of stars, so we can se them well

Is that simulation taking into account the expansion of space?

You think we’re just a tiny little microspec of life in a little dna strand?

I wonder, as the starting condition, whether they have taken the density distribution of the CMB somehow, and/or implemented the latest available cosmological constants in their model?

Looks like we are about to experience more of those explosions
