That is pure badassery. I feel like this line in the Kai dub does better than the original simply because of that amazing delivery. The amount of catharsis when he shouts “PRINCE”. Good lord that makes me so giddy

I am Brazilian 🇧🇷♥️, I don't understand much English, but you can clearly feel the emotion that the dubbing conveys. I loved the emotional charge that they convey in the voices.

This is one specific instance where I'd say that the original dub line and the Kai line are equally good, as I usually side unanimously with the Kai version, both for its much improved performances and its generally more manga-accurate script. But here, the two lines are basically identical aside from wording and even in the old dub, Sabat imbues them with a lot of power. So I think "there's one thing a Saiyan has that you can never take away--HIS PRIDE!" and "I carry within me the pride of a PRINCE!" work equally well.

Let me tell you that I grew up with the original dbz, and it was HARD for me to get into kai when they started airing it on Nickelodeon, with the censorship, but when I took the nostalgia glasses off and saw a clip of Goku’s beat down on Vegeta when he used Kaioken x3, I fell in love with the Kai version immediately and watched the series in its entirety.

The original will hold a special place in my heart, but I can’t deny that kai is objectively better.
