During IBMA this year I finally made it over to Jim Mills house with a bunch of fellow banjo pickers! Here is a video of Jim putting the right hand to Gabe Hirshfeld's killer TB-3.
It's a 32 with a Huber neck and an early HR-30 ring . It's a really good old 5, but how could a banjo sound anything less than that with Jim pulling the trigger!

All the best and keep rollin,
RC

Jim, you are the cleanest picker I've heard. Your style suits my taste better than all the others I've heard; Reno, Scruggs, Crowe, Trishka, Fleck, Keith, Osborne, and more. Thank you for sharing your talent, smile, and love of music. I want to play like you. A great example you are! God bless you.

Huber HR30 tone ring is as close as you can get to the Prewar Flathead tone for sure.
